Leeds bar Wax Bar confirms final night at New Briggate venue ahead of move

Wax is leaving its New Briggate home for good next month

A popular Leeds city centre bar has confirmed when it will close its current venue and open its new, bigger home later this year.

Late-night venue Wax Bar announced earlier this year that it would be leaving its home on New Briggate after 15 years to move to a larger venue on Cross Belgrave.

Known for its eclectic party atmosphere and loyal customers, Wax Bar has long been an institution for music fans and night owls in the city centre.

Fans will get one last chance to visit the original venue on Saturday, November 14, before it closes its doors for good.

Wax 2.0, which is taking over the former Sandinista site next to Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen, will welcome its first guests the following Thursday, November 19.

Announcing the dates on social media, the team wrote: “The time is nearing. Happy endings/New beginnings. See you there.”
