Hotel restaurants have come a long way in recent years, evolving into dining destinations that attract locals as well as overnight guests.
This week, we take a look at how some of the most popular hotel restaurants performed during their most recent inspection by the Food Standards Agency.
Food hygiene ratings are awarded by the Food Standards Agency following inspections of restaurants, pubs, cafés, takeaways and other food businesses.
Ratings range from zero to five, with a score of five meaning hygiene standards are considered "very good". A rating of one means "major improvement is necessary".
