Chilli No. 5 launches new superfood sauces

Chilli No. 5 offers a range of designer chilli sauces, each one inspired by cuisines from across the globe. Iconic sauces such as harissa, jerk, wasabi, peri peri and sriracha have been reinterpreted for the modern hot sauce lover, who demands not only a great tasting sauce, but one that is healthy and made with only the very finest chillies and antioxidant ingredients.

Each gourmet sauce includes an exclusive blend of five types of chillies, including the chilli No.5, as well as antioxidant-packed superfoods such as black garlic, fresh ginger, nutmeg and apple cider vinegar. The sauces also include six powerful supplements; inulin, maca powder, red ginseng, L-Arginine, guarana, and fenugreek.

Made using only the very finest chillies sourced from across the globe, each Chilli No. 5 hot sauce is vegan and mostly free from any artificial colourings and flavourings.

From private chef to your own kitchen

With his regular job on pause because of the pandemic, chef Colin Ross teamed up with British entrepreneur Rumble Romagnoli to create Chilli No. 5.

Romagnoli had become frustrated that he was unable to cook tasty meals at home that had the depth of flavour of his favourite restaurant dishes. Following visits to local supermarkets he discovered that there were no brands that offered a full collection of hot sauces that were not only tasty, but healthy too.

“I created Chilli No. 5 to offer people an easy way to make tasty meals at home using sauces made with good-for-you ingredients,” the hot sauce creator said. “Our incredible collection features classic sauces with a modern-day twist and are designed to suit a wide range of cuisines. Whether you use them as a marinade, dipping sauce, or add to sauces, stews, or even your favourite cocktail, they are guaranteed to add pizzazz to any culinary creation.”

Sustainability at its core

Not only did Romagnoli set out to create delicious healthy hot sauces, but ones that were packaged in the most eco-friendly way.

Chilli No. 5’s collection of hot sauces are available in glass bottles as well as in glass vials. The bottles and vials are designed to be re-filled courtesy of the company’s sustainable pouches.

Additionally, Chilli No. 5 offers compensation to any clients who return the packaging, which will then be recycled.

“Sustainability is something we are really passionate about, so it was important that we made our packaging as eco-friendly as possible” Romagnoli said. “Our refill pouches are land-fill friendly and six times more sustainable than a traditional plastic bottle, which many hot sauces come packaged in.”

Subscribe and save

Chilli No. 5 also offers hot sauce lovers a subscription model called "Sauce for Life" which enables you to keep control of your hot sauce consumption, discover new sauces, be more sustainable, and save financially.

Set to launch on Halloween 2020, all sauces will be sold on the Chilli No.5 website and through Instagram and Facebook, alongside exclusive sauce tasting/gifting collections and merchandising.
