Dogs Trust in Leeds has several dogs and puppies and these are the ones that currently need rehoming (all photos from Dogs Trust Leeds):
13. Pippa
Five-year-old Pippa is a very friendly girl who greets everyone with a waggy tail. She would suit a family with older children 16 and over who are around most of the time as she isn't used to being left for long. Pippa will need a large enclosed garden with good sized fencing so she can exercise off lead and burn off some energy. She can be strong to walk out and about and may lunge out at passing dogs so a less doggy populated area would suit her best for walks. Pippa's kidneys are slightly smaller than they should be so she needs to be fed a specific renal diet. She loves her soft toys and will need to be the only pet so she can lap up all the attention for herself.
Four month old Rubble has much growing left to do and loads of potential to learn. He is a clever lad but will need a patient owner to train him a little differently as he is deaf. We are looking for Rubble to live with a well behaved adult dog that can act as a good role model for him and help build his confidence. He will need all aspects of basic training, including house training and will need owners that are around all day initially as he gets very upset when left on his own. Rubble will need a home with a secure garden and could live with sensible, older children aged 10 and over.
Star is a sweet girl who has had quite a lot of upheaval in recent times. At seven years old she still enjoys going out on walks or pottering around the garden. New situations do worry Star and she will need time and patience until she feels comfortable. Star is looking for an adult only home as the only pet. A home without too many visitors would be ideal for her as she can be worried by unfamiliar people. She enjoys going out for a walk in quieter areas and is good in the car so will travel to quiet walks. Star is dog social but unfamiliar dogs do worry her but she is ok from a distance. Star is housetrained but will need a secure garden to help her feel comfortable.
Stuart is big strong lad who is looking for a very special home. He's only one and unfortunately hasn't had much training in his life. His training MUST be continued in his home. His owners will need plenty of previous experience of large breed dogs and be prepared to put in a lot of effort at the start with things like lead training, confidence building and gradual dog socialisation as he does tend to bark when he sees them. He is full of potential so your hard work will be rewarded with a fun, playful and loyal companion. He loves his food so he really is a trainers dream! He is housetrained but he will only toilet on grass, so his home MUST have a fully secure garden with high fence and lawn. Due to his size and training needs he must live in an adult only environment as the only dog with no visitors during his settling in period, and very few after then as he is nervous around new people. He cannot be left at all at the moment.
Wilbur is a wonderful boy with loads of potential. He is two years old and still has a lot to learn, but he's getting there. Unfortunately, he is a real worrier and doesn't like sudden noises or busy environments. He has a tendency to chase traffic and other small animals so he'll need to live in quite a rural area where he has immediate access to peaceful walks directly from his home. He prefers his own company and is not one for much fuss. He really enjoys playing with his toys and he's slowly learning how to include people in his games. Tug seems to be his current favourite! Wilbur needs a home with understanding, patient owners who are willing to continue his training. He needs an adult only environment with people who will give him the space he needs and love him just as he is. He will initially need you around all the time to settle him in. He is not keen on other dogs and has a strong natural chase instinct so cannot share his home with any other pets. He'll need a secure garden with 6ft fence.
