1. Cooper
How scrumptious is Cooper? He may be the size of a pony but Cooper is a real gentle giant and is lovely to walk. He can get a little over boisterous when he sees dogs out and about so would benefit from quieter walking areas initially to give his owners a change to work on this. Cooper does have a shy side and can be a little apprehensive around new people and places, he needs owners who can help build his confidence. This may be because he has very limited life experience so far so a patient and understanding owner is needed to help him discover the big wide world.
2. William
William is a delightful Staffy Cross who is 5yrs old. He loves people and really enjoys having a good fuss from his familiar human friends. He is a little shy to begin with but once he knows you he'll be your little shadow! He loves his food and is very motivated by his training. We'd love his new family to continue his training in the home as he enjoys it so much. He has a medical condition which can cause him to cough a lot and our Vet will be happy to explain more about this with potential adopters. All in all, if you are looking for a fun little dog who'll always make you smile then William's your boy!
3. Bertie
One look at Bertie's squishy face and you'll be smitten! He's 2 years old and full of character. Sadly, he led a very sheltered life due to the pandemic lockdown and when he arrived with us, he was already worried by unfamiliar people and places. He needs to expand his world very slowly and with a lot of care and patience. Other dogs are another worry for him and so he must be walked in quieter areas. If you take the time to slowly get to know him you will soon see that underneath he is wonderful boy who will always make you smile. He loves to play with his toys and is very affectionate with his friends. Smart? Oh yes! He loves to learn new things and is very motivated to show off if there are some treats coming his way. So if you are a true Bully lover, quirks and all, you will see that all the time and effort to get into Bertie's gang will be well worth it.
4. Ronan
Ronan is a 2 year old German Shepherd Cross Husky. Whilst he is a very handsome lad, sadly he has spent most of his short life in lockdown and away from social situations. This has left him quite worried and unsure of how to behave when meeting new people and dogs. Our training and behaviour team have worked hard to build a good routine which helps Ronan to understand what's happening and not to be afraid. He's made brilliant progress and we're really happy that he's now ready to take the next step and find his forever home. We have found that once he has built a good bond with you, he is lots of fun. He enjoys playing with toys, loves his training and is incredibly affectionate with his best friends. He has had a couple of walking buddies at the centre, but his insecurities mean he cannot share his home with any other pets.
5. May
Calling all rural homes! Gorgeous May is one of life's worriers, and after much deliberation, she has decided that city life is not for her. Upon viewing many episodes of 'Location, Location, Location', she's set her sights on a retirement home in the countryside and she's now hoping to find a family that will help her achieve her dream. A quiet home with lots of garden space, so that May can continue with her hobby of 'gardening' (some might describe the hobby as 'digging')... so she'll need a family who are happy for her to have some say in the garden arrangement!
6. Jake
Jake is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you could ever wish to meet. He's 7 years old and due to an unsettled life previously he's been left with a few anxieties. He likes to take his time to get to know you properly but if you put in the time to come and see him regularly and give him the space he needs initially then in no time he'll be your shadow! He's super foody so if there are a few treats on offer he'll show you all his training moves. Once he's bonded with you he'll show you what a fun and playful boy he really is. He enjoys his walkies in quiet areas as sadly he's worried by other dogs and prefers to stay away from them. He's perfectly manageable though and happily wears his muzzle out and about. He's so affectionate that he'll spend the whole day snuggling on the sofa with you if give him the chance!
