7. Belle
Beautiful little Belle loves a cuddle and shows no signs of slowing down her giddiness at 8 years young. She can be a bit of an escape artist so will need a home with a secure garden and she can jump pretty high for a small dog! Belle should be ok to live with sensible children over the age of 10 years and could potentially live with a playful doggy friend. She may need a little help with her housetraining when settling in somewhere new and an owner that doesn't mind sharing their furniture is a must.
8. Delilah
Delilah is an incredibly special lady that has won the hearts of all who have been lucky enough to spend time with her. Delilah has had quite a traumatic time; she came to Dogs Trust as a stray with a broken leg which had to be amputated. During her recovery, she fell on the site that was healing which was very painful, and then she became very scared about the outside world. Her confidence has grown again in the months since, exponentially since she has been living in a foster home. She is now ready to find her forever home and she's really hoping to be putting her paws up in front on the fire in time for Christmas.
9. Twiggy
Fitting to her name, Twiggy has the most beautiful brown eyes in town! At six years old she is a typical laid back lurcher who loves nothing more than lounging around on the sofa. She is very loving with people but can be a bit nervous around other dogs, especially if they are a little loud or bouncy. Twiggy cannot live in a home with other pets due to her hunting nature, but she's happy to live with children over 12 and loves nothing more than curling up for a night at the bottom of their bed.
10. Jake
Jake is a very handsome six year old Lurcher. He is one of life's worriers though. He can be shy when he first meets you, but he's easily won over if you've got a few treats in your pocket! Once he knows you he is the softest lad you could meet. He just loves cuddling up with you and is so affectionate. He likes his walks and he also loves lounging on a sofa, a good walk somewhere quiet will keep him happy. He's manageable around other dogs but he doesn't like them in his personal space however he is happy to wear a muzzle out and about. Jake doesn't like being left on his own so he'll need his owners around all the time initially. He'll need to be the only pet in an adult only home where there will be no visiting children at all. He'll also need a good sized secure garden. Most importantly though, he needs owners who will share their sofa with him and who enjoy LOTS of cuddles! Jake will need multiple visits to get to know him before he is ready to fly the nest.
11. Winter
The picture of Akita perfection, Winter is a gorgeous fluffy pup who loves to snuggle up when he gets to know you. You can easily win his heart with a pocket full of snacks, so make sure to bring those with you on your visit! At 7 years old he isn't too demanding with his exercise, and prefers to potter around the garden and explore for himself. Winter does get a little bit anxious when left alone so he'd prefer to be around people most of the time, and he would need to be the only dog in his home.
12. Stanley
Stanley is an intelligent, interactive, and frankly stunningly beautiful chap. He is a big lad with a solid build, and he can be strong on lead at times - especially if there is a critter or two to chase! Stanley has been with us for some time and he has previously been rehomed and returned due to his behaviour. Because of this, he is looking for an owner with dog experience, time on their hands, an interest in training and behaviour, and who has a Stanley-sized-space on their sofa! He is worried by new faces so introductions need to be gradual. His new owners would need to commit to doing multiple meets to get to know Stanley.
