7. Beau
If you're looking for a fun and energetic dog and have a real passion for training, then let us introduce you to Beau. He's a 1-year-old Lurcher who is bursting with potential. A very unsettled start to his life has left him with some anxieties that his new family will need to understand and help him work on. He's a very friendly lad and likes plenty of fuss and attention but can get overly giddy. Being rather strong, this does mean that being around young children wouldn't be suitable. Over 16's will be fine however. He can be worried by unfamiliar people entering his home, so a family with few visitors will be best. He can also be worried by other dogs, however we are working on this with him. He's super smart and loves doing training tasks. If you keep his brain exercised, then you'll have one very happy boy!
8. Billy
Billy is an energetic little lad who at 11 years old still enjoys his walks or playing with his toys. He likes the company of people and knowing they are around. Billy is looking for a home where his owners are around all of the time. He will need a longer settling in period until he feels comfortable. Owners with experience of the Patterdale breed would be ideal and also willing to help Billy with some basic training. He will need to be walked in quieter dog populated areas but he is friendly with dogs once he has settled in.
9. Bruno
Bruno is an absolutely stunning brown and white american bulldog who is friendly with everyone he meets. He's very active and he's looking for owners who can keep up with him and his antics. Did we mention that he's super smart? So if you're looking for a training project then look no further than him.
10. Demi
Demi is a sweet little girl who at 5 years old likes her home comforts. She is an active girl and enjoys her walks or playing with her toys in the garden. She does have a few quirks which show off her personality but also means she needs a specific home. Demi is looking for a home with understanding owners who have experience of owning a dog. A secure private garden is a must for Demi. She enjoys being around people and once she gets a bond she will be your best friend but she will need a hands off approach when getting to know new people. She isn't comfortable around children so is looking for an adult home with no children or visiting children.
11. Buster
How handsome is Buster? He's absolutely adored by all his handlers and here's why He's almost 3yrs old and although he had a very unsettled start in life has, he is the most loving boy. He's immediately friendly with everyone he meets and once he knows you well, he will shower you with affection. He loves being with his human friends and gets really playful if you bring his toys out. A game of fetch will always make him super happy! He's a trainers dream too because he loves his food. He's very eager to learn new things, especially if there are some tasty treats coming his way. He's very manageable around other dogs but doesn't like them getting in his personal space. This means he can't share his home with any other pets and will need to be walked in lower dog populated areas. He travels well in a car so driving him to peaceful spots won't be a problem. He's also housetrained, although may need a little refresher as he settles.
12. Finn
Finn is a stunning 2yr old German Shepherd who, in the right hands, is an absolute pleasure to be around. Sadly, he's had an unsettled time in his younger life, and this has left him lacking confidence. His anxieties tend to show themselves in his behaviour and when he's worried, he can get a little giddy. Our training and behaviour team have been working hard with Finn to help him learn more self-control and he's come a long way with this. It will take him a long time get used to a new life as he really struggles to settle, but in time, when he understands his routine, he is a very friendly, fun and affectionate dog who loves to be around his favourite people. He is very intelligent and loves to train. He is also fine around other dogs but can sometimes forget his manners! Although he can't share his home with Cats or smaller pets, there is potential for him to share his home with another similar dog who will cope with Finn's relentless play style!
