7. Bear Kitchen
If you want burger stacks and fresh produce head to Wakefield for Bear Kitchen, which serves up ‘fast food with attitude.’ I had the Big Grizzly which I was pre-warned is their “sloppiest” - but it was one of the tastiest burgers I’ve ever had. Photo: Google
8. Flat Iron
The lads and I from Rate My Takeaway had our Christmas do here. The sides of macaroni cheese, beef dripping chips, garlic mash and green spinach were like mains in themselves. 9. Wortley Wagyu
If there’s ever an incentive for me to cycle on the transpennine trail it’s to find an excuse to stop here again. You have to get here early as people tend to queue at the burger bar for an hour for classic combinations of burgers all made from Wagyu beef. Photo: Google
