These photos show how spookily quiet Leeds was just two Friday nights before Christmas

There are now just ten days to go before Christmas.

But Leeds was eerily quiet on Friday, as these photos taken by Amz Whiteley and shared on Facebook group Leedsplace show. Whereas we'd normally expect the city centre to be teeming with Christmas party goers on the second to last Friday night before Christmas, it was actually deserted. There have been suggestions that Leeds could move into Tier 2 shortly, which could mean the city centre could spark back into life before Christmas - here's hoping!
