19. The Damn Yankee, Chapel Allerton
October 1983 and the clientele at this American restaurant on Stainbeck Lane was unusually youthful. If the place was crowded and the music noisy, then that was part of the fun.
20. Conti's, Pudsey
This Italian restaurant was found at 106 Bradford Road in Stanningley.
21. Bistro 66
Comfortable seats, attractive lighting and plush surrounding made this restaurant a must for discerning diners. It was an extension of the facilities already available at the busy Intime Club in the Merrion Centre.
22. Coconut Grove, Merrion Street
