7. Corner Cafe, Sheepscar
The Indian restaurant off Scott Hall Road which featured in the Penguin Good Food Guide back in October 1985 with critics describing its cuisine as "excellent and cheap."
8. Bottles, Oulton
This cheerful diner on Aberford Road was popular with families in the local community. It was run by Norman Pannell with wife Katy and two daughters Joanne and Gaynor.
9. Darbar
This restaurant on Kirkgate in the city centre was hugely popular. Back in May 1989 a four course hot buffet lunch could be enjoyed for £5.95.
10. Glenn's, Dewsbury Road
A world of personal experience was the vital ingredient which brought authenticity to a range of dishes on offer at this restaurant in August 1985. It was run by Glenn and Doreen Evans.
11. Ristorante D'Angelo, Stanningley
A welcome as warm as the sunshine of Italy was promised when you walked through the front door of this restaurant in west Leeds back in April 1989.
