1. Ike's, Cross Belgrave Street
Pictured in September 1982 this city centre Italian bistro was popular with a cross section of Leeds folk, from businessmen, families, students and theatre-goers.
2. Bonappetit, Roundhay
April 1981 and diners enjoyed a view of Roundhay Golf Club at this restaurant on Park Lane.
3. Le Celle, Cookridge
This attractive restaurant on Otley Old Road, pictured here in July 1986, used to be a police station.
4. Heung Wing, Headingley
This restaurant on St Anne's Parade had been open three years when this photo was taken in July 1983. It specialised in Cantonese style cooking.
5. Berni, Alwoodley
Serving 'crisp cool salads' and much more this restaurant was the latest on the north Leeds dining scene in August 1987.
