This collection of photos takes you back to Leeds 1970s – although the specific year of each image is unknown.

They take you around the city during the decade but can you add a specific date to any of the wonderful photos which provide a fascinating glimpse into life around Leeds?

Suburbs in focus include Headingley and Hunslet as well as Otley, Morley and Chapeltown as well as Leeds city centre. The images are a mix from the YEP archive, David Atkinson Archive, West Yorkshire Archive Service and others published courtesy of photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service. Beyond that can be seen the turning into Meynell Avenue, and a new building housing more shops at numbers 60-62.
