CCTV was installed in Leeds for the first time in 1996 with Briggate chosen as the location for the first camera focused on watching your every move from above. The second Downtown Leeds Music Festival reached new heights after three intrepid students from the City of Leeds College of Music played jazz from the top of the new CLCM building site on Quarry Hill.
