8. Leeds Central High School/City of Leeds
The former school, on Bedford Field, Woodhouse Cliff, first opened in 1885. It was renamed to City of Leeds School in 1972 after being merged with Thoresby High School. The school eventually closed in July, 2014. Today, the Leeds City Academy stands on the site. Photo: YPN
