14. Christmas in the 1960s
It was the custom of the Men's Class at Morley Friends' Adult School to raise some money for the upkeep of the building by going to member's houses on Christmas Day morning singing Christmas carols. Many of the houses were around the Clough Street area where a substantial number of members lived. After they changed location the new houses had to be fitted in. This photo shows the Men's Class singing outside a house on Little Fountain Street (round the back of a back-to-back) which has since been cleared in the slum clearance programme.
