At 5pm, people across the city clapped as a way of saying thank you to NHS staff who have worked throughout the coronavirus pandemic. It also marks 72 years since the NHS was founded on July 5,1948. But people were not only clapping to mark the NHS's birthday - but also to thank NHS staff who have worked hard throughout the pandemic.
