Many pupils went back to school in June but the government said that all pupils, in all year groups, would need to return to school full-time from the beginning of the autumn term. Measures have been taken by schools across Leeds to limit the spread of coronavirus, including staggered start times, social distancing and creating year group bubbles. These bubbles mean that only people within that bubble need to self-isolate if there is a positive Covid-19 case. These are the schools that have been affected by positive cases as of Thursday, September 17:

Isolated Covid-19 cases were confirmed at Roundhay School, in Old Park Road on Tuesday, September 15. The Year 9 bubble has been disbanded.

. Woodhouse Grove
Woodhouse Grove School, which is located in Apperley Bridge on the border of Leeds and Bradford, confirmed was notified about a positive Covid-19 test on Wednesday, September 9. A year group bubble has been collapsed.
. Bardsey Primary School
A number of staff at Bardsey Primary School, on Woodacre Lane, were told to self-isolate after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus on Friday, September 4.

5. Lighthouse Free School Academy
Lighthouse Free School Academy closed for a "deep clean of school due to covid" on Wednesday, September 16 according to the Leeds Council website. It will remain closed until September 21.
6. Castleton Primary School
The parents of Year Four pupils at Castleton Primary School in Wortley were sent a letter on Friday, September 11 confirming that someone had tested positive for Covid-19. Pupils who had "direct prolonged contact" with the person were asked to stay at home.
