Many pupils went back to school in June but the government said that all pupils, in all year groups, would need to return to school full-time from the beginning of the autumn term. Measures have been taken by schools across Leeds to limit the spread of coronavirus, including staggered start times, social distancing and creating year group bubbles. These bubbles mean that only people within that bubble need to self-isolate if there is a positive Covid-19 case. These are the schools that have been affected by positive cases as of Thursday, September 17:
7. Allerton High School
A Year 11 student at Allerton High School tested positive for coronavirus, the school confirmed on Wednesday, September 16. The rest of the class were sent home to self isolate for two weeks.
8. The Rodillian Academy
The Rodillian Academy in Wakefield confirmed that a Year 11 student had tested positive for the virus on Monday, Spetember 14. However, following consultation with Public Health England, the school has now allowed the majority of Year 11 to return to school. Photo: Google
9. Leeds East Academy
A whole year group bubble at Leeds East Academy has been told to self-isolate following a confirmed case of Covid-19. A Year 8 pupil at the secondary academy, in Seacroft, has tested positive for the virus after developing symptoms on Monday, September 14.
10. Pudsey Grangefield School
Pupils have been sent home after two people tested positive for coronavirus at Pudsey Grangefield School, the school confirmed on Thursday, September 17. The two cases are not linked to each other.

Quarry Mount Primary in Pennington Street, Woodhouse, had to close on Wednesday, September 16 after three people tested positive for Covid-19. Reception and Year 1 pupils were sent home to isolate.
12. Lawnswood School
Two cases of Covid-19 at Lawnswood School in north Leeds were confirmed by Leeds City Council on Thursday, September 17.
