Two schools are fully closed, while others have been forced to close individual year groups.

More than 8,000 people in Leeds have signed a petition to close all schools in the UK and the Health Secretary said the issue is being kept 'under review'.

Here are the seven schools in Leeds hit by closures:

Westerton Primary Academy, Tingley - was closed to Foundation Stage and Nursery for a deep clean.

Bankside Primary School, Harehills - fully closed due to numbers of staff needing to self-isolate.

Deighton Gates Primary School, Wetherby - closed to Year 2 with a reason not given.

Ebor Gardens Primary Academy, Burmantofts - closed to Nursery, Reception and Year 1 until further notice due to a number of staff being advised to self-isolate.

Pool-in-Wharfedale CofE Voluntary Controlled Primary School - Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 closed due to staff being forced to self-isolate.
