Lighthouse Free School Academy on Hospital Lane, Leeds, has been closed until September 21 according to the Leeds Council website.

Lighthouse School Leeds was Yorkshire’s first Special Free School.

The school "are dedicated to young people aged 11 to 19 with an autistic spectrum condition (ASC) or related communication disorder and take pride in offering individualised learning for every single one of our students".

The school was closed at lunchtime on Wednesday according to the council.

Many schools across Leeds and West Yorkshire have seen students sent home due to coronavirus cases this week.
