The Leeds areas where Covid rates are rising fastest as Government reviews Tier 3

The infection rate in these Leeds areas has more than doubled in the last week

The Government has reviewed tiers across England and the announcement on whether Leeds will move to Tier 4 or remain in Tier 3 is expected later today. The city's average rate of coronavirus infection now stands at 189.8 new cases per 100,000 people, up 33.1% from last week. But there have been large increases in some parts of Leeds. These are the 19 areas of the city where the infection rate has risen by more than 150% in the seven days to December 24, the latest available figures, compared to the previous week.
