The figures were confirmed by NHS England on Friday, December 11.

One person died in hospitals under the Airedale Foundation Trust.

One person died in a hospital under the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust.

Six people died in hospitals in Hull.

Four people died in hospitals in Leeds.

Eight people died in hospitals in Dewsbury, Wakefield and Pontefract.

Five people died in hospitals in Rotherham.

Six people died in hospitals in Sheffield.

Two people died in hospitals under the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

The total Covid-19 death toll in Yorkshire hospitals is 5,268.

A further 275 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in England.

Patients were aged between 34 and 99 years old.

Date of death ranges from 1 November to 10 December 2020.

The total number of confirmed reporter deaths in England is 43,812.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
