In a statement, the First Leeds spokesperson said: "From our workforce of nearly 500 at the Bramley depot we have eight members of staff including four drivers who are currently self-isolating after a positive Covid test.

"All are recovering and we wish them well for a speedy return. Everyone continues to be vigilant, follow public health guidance and use the NHS Track & Trace service.

“The safety of staff and customers is our top priority and Bramley, as with all our depots, has implemented a range of measures to help protect against the virus.

"This involves enhanced daily cleaning of offices, rest areas and engineering departments including using a long-lasting anti-viricidal sanitiser, additional sanitising stations with hand gel, social distancing floor markings and wearing of PPE in designated work areas.

“Buses undergo the same daily cleaning regime in the depot and at service breaks and interchanges during the day, which includes disinfecting all touchpoints throughout the vehicle.

"Plastic screens separate drivers from passengers and customers are encouraged to pay by contactless, where possible.
