These are the 16 best schools in Leeds for attendance and behaviour in 2026.
Summer is officially over and as children across the city return to their classrooms, here at the Yorkshire Evening Post we have been looking at which schools have the best behaviour and attendance, according to Ofsted inspectors.
Under Ofsted’s new scoring system, one-word grades have been replaced with a colour-coded “traffic light” report card, split into seven categories: attendance and behaviour, early years, personal development, achievement, curriculum and teaching, inclusion, and leadership and governance.
They are rated either Exceptional, Strong standard, Expected standard, Needs attention and Urgent improvement.
Using these rankings, the YEP has compiled a list of the 16 Leeds primary and secondary schools that have scored an ‘Expected standard’ or better rating for attendance and behaviour during full Ofsted inspections published in 2026 so far.
