We have lost a number of popular restaurants, bars, pubs and shops due to spiralling costs, while other owners have moved on to new ventures. The following 17 businesses are among those to have closed their doors in 2022.
7. Farsley Liberal Club
Farsley Liberal Club closed at the end of August after 134 years. The club, on Farsley Town Street, said in a statement: "We would like to thank all members who have supported the club, especially during the past two difficult years." Photo: Google
8. Yard & Coop
Yard & Coop, on Merrion Street, closed in August after three years of trading. In a statement, the team said: "Our team mean the world to us and we are so sad to be closing our doors. 9. Cafe 164
Cafe 164, owned by Ellie (pictured) and Matt Andrews, closed its doors in August after more than a decade in Leeds city centre. Originally a small coffee shop housed in an art gallery, the space evolved over the years to include a bakery, sandwich shop and smaller gallery. The site is now home to a new bar and cafe, KTA. 10. Nomadic Beers

11. Black Market
Chapel Allerton restaurant Black Market closed in October. It opened in Stainbeck Lane in 2018, and was run by chef Jon Wilkinson and his partner Justina Marciulaityte, specialising in small plates and seasonal ingredients. 12. Dapur Malaysia
