From a much-awaited cafe and a new Ibiza-style bar in the city centre to a pizza joint in Kirkstall and a gym in Seacroft, they all bring something unique to Leeds' ever-evolving hospitality and leisure offering.
Here are eight new openings you have to try – and five more on the way soon.
7. UntoldBar
A new “Ibiza-style” bar opened in Leeds city centre on March 24. UntoldBar, in Kirkgate, offers live music throughout the week and has also joined the list of Leeds venues running bottomless brunches. It serves draught drinks as well as a range of spirits and boasts a stylish design, with seating split across three floors. Photo: Bruce Rollinson
8. The Empire Cafe
Another new addition is the much-awaited The Empire Cafe in Fish Street, an all-day eatery serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, with an open kitchen and cosy interior. Patron chef Sam Pullan and his partner Nicole Deighton have spent months transforming the venue, formerly La Strega cafe. They had originally planned to name the business Appys, before builders uncovered 'ghost' signage which had been covered up for at least 60 years. Photo: Jonathan Gawthorpe
9. UltraFlex gym

The gym is owned by Charlie Mardon, who already boassts an UltraFlex gym in Pudsey. The new gym boasts over 200 pieces of equipment, including a dumbell area and a 'temple' for old-school lifters, as well as stairmasters, treadmills, bikes and rowers. Photo: Jonathan Gawthorpe

12. La Terrasse Brasserie - opening TBC
A new French-Italian themed restaurant is set to open as the newest addition to Oakwood's thriving food and drink scene. Signage for La Terrasse Brasserie has now been erected on Roundhay Road. Pictures have now emerged showing signs at the new restaurant operating out of the site that formerly housed takeaway Cervo, which closed without warning in recent months. With an emphasis on "French and Italian cuisine", the window appears draped in flags from each nation and the sign said it is "opening soon". Photo: Joseph Keith
