Scarborough branch of The Body Shop shuts

A sign has been put on the premises redirecting customers to the store's outlet in Coppergate, York.

A statement from the company said: WWe regularly review our store portfolio performance and have taken the decision not to renew the lease of The Body Shop in Westborough, Scarborough and close this store.

"We will cease trading and have been in consultation over the last few weeks with the members of the store team to discuss job opportunities elsewhere within the business. Our valued customers can still purchase their favorite products by shopping online (www.thebodyshop.com) and via the The Body Shop At Home."
