Huge new B&M Bargains opens in Colton Retail Park Leeds, creating 70 jobs
A huge new B&M store opened at Colton Retail Park in Leeds at the weekend, creating more than 70 new jobs.
The new store opened at 9am on Saturday, March 13 and sells 'a wide variety of branded groceries' including a range of food, drink, baby food and pet food. There is also a selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.
The new colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Leeds South & East Foodbank who took centre stage to officially unveil the new B&M store.
Leeds South & East Foodbank are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. The charity provides three-day nutritionally balanced emergency food and support for individuals and families in Leeds.
In addition to opening the store, the team also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.
The store manager, Nettie Crossley, said: “It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors at the weekend, the feedback so far has been fantastic.”
“A big thank you to the team at Leeds South & East Foodbank who helped us open the store, we hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do in supporting the local people.”
