Facebook Messenger hit by outages as thousands suffer connection problems
Thousands of people are having problems sending receiving messages this afternoon (Thursday) on Facebook Messenger.

According to DownDetector, the issue started at around 3.10pm, and is affecting users across the UK.
It had received more than 5,000 reports of problems before 5pm.
Some users have been getting a message which says "connecting" while trying to contact people on the service.
Some people are also complaining about not being able to log in.
