The new recruits will be based where the firm anticipates extra demand in places like Leeds, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton. The new couriers will join CitySprint's 5,000-strong fleet.

The run-up to Christmas is typically one of the busiest periods for retailers and their logistics partners. With the coronavirus pandemic driving more shopping online, CitySprint is encouraging consumers to do their shopping well in advance of the festive season. The firm said its couriers will have a vital role to play in the extended peak period.
