Confirmed Covid-cases at Capita offices in Hepworth House in Leeds city centre

The Capita offices in Hepworth House have been deep cleaned after multiple staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

The company, in Clay Pit Lane, received confirmation of the positive cases last week.

Those affected were sent home to self-isolate.

Capita has since carried out additional deep cleaning of the site, including 'fogging cleaning' where chemical disinfectants are sprayed in the area.

The company has also ensured social distancing remains in place and staff adhere to good hygiene measures.

A manager will also be present at the door when colleagues arrive for work to check for any symptoms before entering the building.

A Capita spokesperson said "At this very difficult time, our top priority is the well-being and safety of our people.

"Last week we first received confirmation that some of our colleagues in our Hepworth House office in Leeds had tested positive for Covid-19.

“All those who have tested positive for Covid-19 are now isolating and we are following all government guidance in relation to this.

“We have, and will continue to, carry out enhanced office hygiene routines, as well strict social distancing throughout the office, in line with government guidance.

“We have informed Public Health England who are in agreement that we have taken all necessary precautions, and that we are adhering to good practice.”
