This Is Us: cast of US drama, when season 5 episodes air on Amazon Prime in the UK - and will there be a season 6?

Fans of the US drama series This Is Us have been on the edge of their seats since the beginning of season 5, following the events of the Pearson family - and when episodes will air in the UK.

Filmed during the coronavirus pandemic, Dan Fogelman's creation has incorporated real life struggles with the virus outbreak into the storylines leading to the show's characters often seen wearing face masks.

The pandemic has also had an impact on when new episodes of the series, starring Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, will be screened in the US and the UK after delays in production.

Who is in the cast of This Is Us season 5?

Season five of This Is Us has all the familiar faces you’d expect, even if some of them are hidden by coverings to reflect the Covid pandemic on screen, as well as expanding on new characters to the award-winning show.

The cast includes Milo Ventimiglia (Jack Pearson), Mandy Moore (Rebecca Pearson), Sterling K. Brown (Randall Pearson), Chrissy Metz (Kate Pearson), Justin Hartley (Kevin Pearson), Susan Kelechi Watson (Beth Pearson), and Chris Sullivan (Toby Damon).

The latest season also gives more prominence to the character of Kate’s best friend Madison Simons (played by Caitlin Thompson), who is the mother of Kevin’s twins.

When will This Is US season 5 episode 10 air?

After Kevin successfully made it to Madison’s bedside from his film set in Canada, viewers got a glimpse into the early days of parenting for the show’s characters.

Kate and Toby also brought home their adopted daughter from the hospital and experienced some challenges in forging the path ahead with the birth mother.

As the Pearsons settle in to their new lives, following nerve-wracking drives home from the hospital, the family comes together in the latest episode of the fifth series.

Season 5 episode 10 of This Is Us is expected to air on Tuesday 16 March on NBC in the US, meaning it will be available to watch in the UK from Thursday 18 March.

Will there be a This Is Us season 6?

Fans of the show will welcome the news that This Is Us has been renewed for a sixth season, after NBC confirmed three further seasons had been ordered prior to season four's production in 2019.

The show typically airs in the US in late September though the current season began airing in October, a month later from when seasons one to four were aired in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.

So there could be a new season to delve into later in 2021 following the conclusion of season five. All the show’s seasons have had 18 episodes and typically have a running time of 42 minutes.
