Yorkshire Dental Suite to set restore iconic Guiseley Leeds United mural this spring

Since its creation by local artist Phil Harris and unveiling in 2021, the mural has stood as a vibrant tribute to Leeds United on the side of the previous Yorkshire Rose Pub, now home to Yorkshire Dental Suite’s Guiseley clinic.

Over time, exposure to the elements has left the mural in a state of complete disrepair. Sections of the rendering are now coming away from the wall, creating potential hazards for pedestrians and vehicles in the adjacent car park.

To address this, co-founders of Yorkshire Dental Suite Dr Hassan and Dr Hussein Dalghous, alongside the Yorkshire Dental Suite team, have committed to a full re-render of the wall to ensure it is structurally safe. Once the restoration is complete, Phil Harris will return to recreate the mural, with the exciting possibility of introducing new faces for Leeds United fans to enjoy for years to come.

Drs Hussein and Hassan Dalghous, co-founders of Yorkshire Dental Suite, commented, “We are restoring this mural for the local community and the Leeds United community to continue enjoying for years to come.

"It has become a landmark in Guiseley and means so much to so many people. By fully re-rendering the wall and bringing Phil back to repaint it, we are making sure it remains safe, vibrant and something supporters can feel proud of."

Local residents and Leeds United supporters are encouraged to follow the restoration journey and share in the excitement. A behind-the-scenes look at the project is available in this video from the team overseeing the work: https://www.instagram.com/p/DVEcifkDZ3F/
