To honour Joan’s centenary, the care home’s Garden Room was transformed into a vibrant party space, adorned with colourful balloons, festive decorations, and a specially prepared buffet. A beautifully decorated birthday cake took centre stage, ensuring that the event was as special and memorable as Joan herself.
Joan was overjoyed to receive a card from His Majesty the King in recognition of her 100th birthday – a keepsake she will treasure for years to come. The presence of her family made the occasion even more special, allowing her to share stories, laughter, and precious moments with her loved ones.
Alex Keeble, Front of House Manager at Windsor Court, orchestrated the celebration with meticulous care, ensuring that every detail reflected Joan’s personality and preferences.
Joan, who has been a cherished member of the Windsor Court community, spent the day enjoying the festivities, connecting with fellow residents, and celebrating a lifetime of memories. Her 100th birthday not only celebrated her longevity but also highlighted the strong sense of community, compassion, and dedication that Windsor Court Care Home offers its residents every day.
