Ben Feely said: “Having secured my own place in the Leeds Half Marathon, I wanted to use the opportunity to raise funds for Sue Ryder because it’s a cause I think the whole community should get behind.

"The support from Sue Ryder in the lead up to the event and on the day itself was fantastic. The cheer point gave me a much needed boost and really helped me push through those tougher miles.

"It was a brilliant event from start to finish and I’d absolutely encourage others to join Sue Ryder's team. I’ve already decided I’ll be back again for 2027.”

Rachel Binns, Regional Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds and Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope, said: “We’re so grateful to everyone who chose to run for Sue Ryder this weekend.

"Every pound raised helps us continue providing expert, compassionate care for families across Yorkshire. It’s inspiring to see so many people take on these events in support of our work.”
