Leeds Blues Club in the running for national live music award
A grassroots music night that began just three years ago in a small upstairs room above a Leeds city centre pub is now in the running for a major national award.
Leeds Blues Club, based at the The Cross Keys on Water Lane, has been named in the Final 5 for Live Club / Venue of the Year at the UK Blues Federation awards.

The award recognises outstanding live blues venues across the country. After progressing through the nomination stages, Leeds Blues Club faced a public vote to decide the winner. Voting closed on March 1, with the winner announced at a live national awards ceremony on April 8.
Founded in 2023, the club has built a strong reputation for hosting high-quality blues acts in an intimate setting, attracting audiences from across West Yorkshire and beyond. Despite its modest beginnings in a room above the pub, it has quickly become a respected stop on the UK blues circuit.
Reaching the final five places Leeds alongside some of the most established blues venues in the country and marks a significant achievement for an independent, community-driven music night.
