From Brighouse to RuPaul’s Drag Race to… Dewsbury
After finishing runner up on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2019, Divina De Campo was propelled from humble beginnings in Brighouse to drag stardom and now she’s come full circle with something of a homecoming show in Dewsbury!
The Terrace is perhaps better known for dance music events, having recently hosted Greg Wilson plus artists like Utah Saints, Allister Whitehead, K-Klass, and Dave Beer. However, the venue will be transformed into something much more fabulous on 19th June when Divina - one of the UK’s biggest drag artists – will be performing.

A spokesperson said: "Okay, so Dewsbury may not be the epicentre of drag culture but why shouldn’t it get some glamour – especially during June, which is Pride month?

"This will be an inclusive, welcoming event for anyone loving the glitz and glamour of drag. As well as chat and music from Divina (who has a four-octave range), the party will go on all night with a funky disco set from DJ James Patta who regularly plays The Terrace and is known for long-running 80s Love Affair and Glitterball gigs at Hi-Fi Club in Leeds.
"And don’t worry about Divina feeling out of place in Dewsbury. Being from Brighouse, she combines glamour with gritty northern humour so will feel right at home in Kirklees!"
Tickets are priced at £25 and are available from Skiddle. A Meet & Greet with Divina herself is included in the price, and with The Terrace being such an intimate venue, there are only 70 tickets available.
