Festive fun awaits at Boston Spa specialist school
One of the region’s longest established specialist schools is set to welcome visitors from across the UK as it holds its annual Christmas Fair this weekend.
The event, at St John’s Catholic Specialist School in Boston Spa, has long been a highlight of the West Yorkshire festive calendar, drawing visitors from both the local area and far beyond.

Visitors to the fair, which is taking place on Saturday November 22, from 10am, can enjoy a range of festive fun including craft stalls, games and activities.
There will also be a chance to visit with Father Christmas in the Grotto as well as the school’s famous bacon butties, hot drinks, homemade cakes and mince pies. There will also be a raffle, tombola and many other attractions.
Headteacher Kevin Harrington said: “We’re always thrilled to welcome so many members of the local community, current pupils and their families as well as former pupils who join us for the event, travelling sometimes from all over the UK to do so.
“The St John’s Christmas Fair is always such a lovely, vibrant way to get the festive season underway and we’re so looking forward to welcoming our visitors this weekend.”
The St John’s Catholic Specialist School Christmas Fair, held at the school at Church Street, Boston Spa, will include stalls offering handcrafted and unusual gifts, Christmas cards, decorations, bespoke jewellery, health and beauty gifts, the school’s luxury raffle and much more.
Visitors are welcome at the Fair between 10am and 1pm on Saturday November 22.
