You're making that final approach into Leeds City Centre - what is your arrival song of choice, and why?

"I actually always stick on the record Peripheral Vision by Turnover. My good friend Chris went to Leeds College of Music, and he always had that album on in his gaff when I visited.

“The song 'Dizzy on the Comedown' always reminds me of Leeds and very fun times."

Honestly though, what is the Spotify algorithm suggesting you have lined up to play instead?

"The Rosadocs feels like the only acceptable answer here!"

To kill time in Leeds before or after soundchecks, where can we usually find you?

"It all depends which venue the show is in! If it's at Brudenell, I'll generally sneak in some snooker practice in their games room.

“If we're playing more central, Headrow House has become a favourite spot, particularly up on the rooftop (Northern weather permitting)."

You're looking for pre-stage food - what is the essential eatery in Leeds you're ordering from?

"It all depends on time frames realistically. Brudenell always send pies backstage pre-show, which have never not been outstanding.

“Elsewhere, Fat Hippo is a staple Leeds should be very proud of. Given a mid-tour day off in Leeds, Gaucho or Cut & Craft would find us queued at the door."

Is there an 'essential' breakfast place in Leeds you head to the morning after?

"The last breakfast I had in Leeds was at The Canary down by the Docks. We all went for a walk around the Royal Armouries Museum through the day and went there afterwards.

“Admittedly, I may have had chicken wings, but it was still morning, and I was on tour, so I'm counting that as breakfast!"

"I can't come to Leeds without bringing with me my..."

"Guitar? Can't remember the last time I was in Leeds without one. I need more days off there, clearly!"

"Every time I am in Leeds, I always end up taking home with me..."

"My guitar? All going well."

If you suddenly became a Leeds tour guide, which three landmarks or activities would you recommend?

  1. Royal Armouries Museum: Fun for the whole family.
  2. Roundhay Park: A lovely walk in the summer.
  3. Brudenell Social Club: It has pies, snooker, and the coolest live room for bands - what's not to love?

What local musicians would you recommend checking out?

"There's this band called Adult DVD my mate introduced me to; they went to Uni together, and all lived in the same house. They have just released their debut record, which I've been enjoying.

“Big fan of Yard Act as well. The Cribs are probably a West Yorkshire favourite though."

What is it about Leeds that brings you back to perform time and time again?

"Just a great buzz. It's only down the road from us really, but it does have a big city feel that's always worth making the trip for.

“As I say, I've spent a lot of time in Leeds over the years, either playing or just seeing friends, and it has a bit of a home away from home effect on me nowadays."
