He came to prominence as the iconic frontman of The Smiths. As a solo artist he has had 12 top 10 albums including three number ones and released 54 singles.

I Am Not A Dog On A Chain, Morrissey’s 13th solo album and second studio album for BMG Records, is set for release on March 20.

First single from the album, Bobby Don’t You Think They Know?, featuring backing vocals by legendary R&B Icon Thelma Houston, was released to great critical and fan response.

Morrissey’s cover of Roy Orbison’s 60s classic, It’s Over, last month topped the UK Vinyl Singles chart.

His first UK date next month is at First Direct Arena, with a second show at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Saturday, March 14. He also plays the Palladium Cologne on March 9 and the Salle Pleyel in Paris on March 11.

They follow the critically acclaimed performances of his recent US tour last autumn The 30 date tour drew large crowds and received rave reviews about his “ageless” vocals and powerful performances as some of Morrissey’s best ever.
