The long-awaited opening of the Totally Roarsome adventure in Leeds is happening this weekend and here's everything you need to know:

The adventure trail is set to open at Hazlewood Castle in Leeds on Saturday, May 1, lasting all the way through to the summer.

A socially distanced area for the whole family, it will boast seven themed zones - including Jurassic Land, Jungle, Arctic, Candy Land, Neverland, Superheroes and Fantasy Land.

These areas feature anything and everything from dinosaurs and polar bears to giant lollipops and unicorns.

Totally Roarsome announced in February that the woodland would be coming to Yorkshire and went viral on social media with over 50,000 comments, 20,000 likes and 27,000 shares on Facebook.

How can I get tickets and how much are they?

All tickets must be pre-booked.

Tickets are priced at £7.95 per person, for both adults and children.

Under twos can go into the woodland for free.

They can be purchased via the Shop Now button on the Totally Roarsome Facebook page.

They have already sold out for the whole Bank Holiday weekend, but if you want to go in May there are still tickets available throughout the week and for some weekend days.

Bookings on the website are currently being taken until July.

What are the opening hours?

Tickets can be purchased for the adventure in five minute intervals from 9.00am to 6pm each day.

Yorkshire's Totally Roarsome venue is at Hazlewood Castle in Tadcaster.

What can I expect from the trail?

The hour-long trail is built around a one kilometre track with over 120 life sized and giant props - including wild animals, dinosaurs, superheroes and more.

There is an educational and entertaining quiz to complete as you go round.

If you complete the quiz you will be entered into the weekly prize draw.

The Totally Roarsome team are encouraging visitors to take lots of photos and tag #totallyroarsome.

How is the trail being made Covid secure?

There are staggered entry times to ensure social distancing.

Hand sanitiser is freely available throughout.

Props are cleaned and sanitised regularly.

There will be a safety briefing at the entrance.

The Rangers will be on hand to help at all times.

It's an outdoor walk in a natural woodland so the team suggests wellies or good walking boots.

Other useful information:

Dogs are not allowed at the Totally Roarsome site due to the natural wildlife.

The team recommends carrying babies in a sling rather than pushchair.
