Live at Leeds music festival announces first wave of 2021 acts with tickets on sale now

Live at Leeds music festival has announced its first wave of acts for this year's event.

This year's multi-venue festival will be held on Saturday, October 16.

Punk rock band Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes will give a headline performance after having recently returned with its new single My Town - featuring Idles front man Joe Talbot.

The band members are promising "an energetic headline show which is not to be missed".

Also heading up this year's bill is Sports Team - a Mercury Music Prize nominated indie rock band known for their hits Here's The Thing, Fishing and Margate.

Live at Leeds is also featuring some local emerging talent this year, including Leeds newcomers L'objectif and independent Leeds based record label Dance to the Radio.

Other acts are Liverpool’s indie-pop four-piece The Night Café, along with The Big Moon, Dream Wife, Jaws, Poppy Ajudha, Teleman, The Orielles, Vistas, and WhenYoung.

There are still more than 100 other acts still to be announced which will comprise of local, national and international artists.

Previous artists that have appeared at Live at Leeds in the early stages of their careers have gone on to win Brits, such as Sam Fender, become pop sensations like Sam Smith, perform headliners at worldwide festivals such as The 1975 and headline Glastonbury like Stormzy and Ed Sheeran.

Tickets for Live at Leeds 2021 are on sale now at a price of £38 plus booking fee for general admission.
