Leeds Comic-Con 2021 set to go ahead at Royal Armouries
Leeds Comic-Con is set to go ahead this year after organisers pushed back the date in the hope the lockdown exit goes to plan.
The 2020 meeting of the comic book and entertainment convention, set to take place in October in New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries, was postponed due to Covid.
It was rescheduled to June 13, 2021, but has been delayed by two weeks in the hope that most lockdown restrictions will be lifted by June 21, as per the Government's plan.
Leeds Comic-Con will now take place on Sunday, June 27.
Sharon Hall, spokesperson for Unleashed Events, said:" “We are so happy that, after what has been an unprecedented and challenging situation, we can finally get back to holding our comic-con events and we are extremely excited for the first event to be at Leeds Armouries.
"We have always had a fantastic attendance at our Leeds events and we look forward to greeting everyone back for the start of another geeky year!”
Tickets already bought for the 2020 event have been automatically transferred for the rescheduled event.
Tickets are £8, under-12s are £5 and under fives go free.
Unleashed Events will be announcing guests and attractions for the new date as soon as they confirm their attendance.
