Lotherton Hall’s spooky scarecrow trail returns for Halloween 2020, offering a great day out for all the family.

Dress up in your best Halloween costume and follow the spooky skeletons trail around the estate and into the haunted house.

A trail will be available to download or pick up when you visit, along with downloadable Halloween craft activities to do at home.

The new visitor route goes through the servants’ quarters and historic rooms, which will be dressed to impress for Halloween.

There will be a one-way system in place with signage and guidance from staff.

Families are asked to attend with only people from the same household or social bubble, keeping to a maximum of six people.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins, Kemp’s Farm, Horsforth

What better way to get the best pumpkin for Halloween than picking your own?

Visitors flock to Kemp’s Farm to pick their own pumpkins each year and they’re now available to pick for Halloween 2020.

This year, there is a timed entry ticket system to limit the number of visitors on site.

Additionally there’s a one-way system, hand sanitiser, screens and two-metre social distancing rules.

Face coverings may also be required for certain activities.

Pumpkin prices vary from £1.50 to £7.50.

Halloween at Stockeld Park, Wetherby

Stockeld Park, Wetherby, LS22 4AN

Dates: 24 October to 1 November

The Halloween ticket, which costs £14, allows entry to the Spooky Maze, Enchanted Forest, Woodlands Cove, Teepee Encampment, Tangle Tree Climb, Spider’s Lair, Farmer Foster’s Barnyard and Witches in the Forest.

There’s also a free pumpkin for every paying child and car parking is free. Children under the age of two and carers go free.

This year, the Park is operating strict capacity limits so pre-booking online is essential and you will need a ticket to enter the park. For further information visit the Stockeld Park website.

Swithens Farm Halloween Pumpkin Patch

Visit the popular Pumpkin Patch at Swithens Farm this Halloween.

Head out into the large pumpkin patch, where you can choose your very own pumpkin, alongside taking your own family Halloween picture with the resident witch, Jules.

Check out the spooky graveyard at the back of the pumpkin patch and follow the clues on the Halloween trail.

This event has limited capacity, so it is essential you book your tickets online. No bookings or payments can be taken on the door. Prices vary.

Pudsey Pumpkin Trail

The Pudsey Pumpkin Festival trail allows people to follow a map of houses which will be decorated with Halloween decorations, as an alternative to trick or treating this year.

The website explains, “We would suggest alternatively to bring sweets with you whilst following the map and give a treat to your children after every house, in order to emulate traditional trick or treating as best you can.”

You can get involved by decorating your house, shop front or garden and there will be a map of decorated locations across Pudsey, Swinnow and Tyersal, so you can follow a Halloween route and see as many as possible

Ghosts, Ghouls and Gallows - virtual tour
