Easter Bunny Egg Hunt: Hop to it and win treats in Leeds city centre
and live on Freeview channel 276
The free, fun, interactive and family-friendly event – which gets underway Friday, April 8 – is brought to the city by LeedsBID and Welcome to Leeds in partnership with Lindt.
Twelve giant Easter eggs have ben hidden in the city centre and children are being asked to discover them to win treats.
To start the adventure, youngsters first need to pick up a map from the Easter Bunny Egg Garden located at Victoria Leeds on Sidney Street.
As well as taking on the challenge, of cracking the clues to uncovering the location of the eggs, children can also get creative by colouring the design details of each egg on the map as part of their hunt.
Each egg is individually decorated and hidden in a key retail location in the city.
City centres partners include John Lewis, Kirkgate Market, Leeds Corn Exchange, MathsCity Leeds, Merrion Centre, Network Rail, St Johns, The Core, The Light, Trinity Leeds, Victoria Leeds.
Once all 12 eggs have been discovered and their design details copied onto the map, intrepid young hunters can return to the garden to pick up a treat from a member of the Easter bunny event team – who will be on hand to help in the garden.
There’ll also be the chance to capture a fun family photo at a special Easter egg themed selfie spot.
Andrew Cooper, LeedsBID Chief Executive, said: “As we see Leeds city centre coming back to life, LeedsBID is animating the high street with fun, interactive activities for families to enjoy during key school holiday periods.
"Working with key retail partners, we hope to provide that added appeal to encourage people to step back in to rediscover the city centre once again.”
Emily Webb, Lindt Customer Marketing Executive, said: “We are really excited to be supporting the Easter Bunny Egg Hunt in and around Leeds city centre. We are so excited to see this wonderful activation go live and thankful to be involved. Happy hunting.”
