Artisan food and drink market
If you you're free this Easter weekend, why not pop down to Meadowhall, not for a manic day shopping but for the first ever Artisan food & drink market.
The three day event held Thursday, 24th March - Saturday, 26th, will be bringing together the finest collection of food and drink the county has to offer with everything from Yorkshire’s finest delicatessen to some of the country’s best gins.
To name a few, producers from around Yorkshire include Cossack Cuisine, Jaquest Redwood Smokehouse, Whittaker’s Gin, The Great Yorkshire Brewery, The York Pie Company, The Yorkshire Wagyu Co and many more. So there will be something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds!
Whittaker’s Gin, one of the producers at the event, spoke to the Yorkshire post and told us how much their looking forward to showcasing their finest liquor.
“We’ve been to a few shows around Yorkshire at Harewood House and the Yorkshire Show but this is the furthest we’ve branched out so were both very excited for this one!
It’s always great to get customer feedback, especially as we haven’t been running for that long. Were always looking for new ways to improve our product but we hope that the customers like what they taste on the day.”
Whittaker’s is a family run business which started up just over a year ago from their home in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire.
They have already acquired some impressive accolades including second place in ‘The Best European Gin 2015, Distilling Expo London’ and ‘Fortnum and Mason’s White Spirit of the month.’
Renowned chefs such as Stephanie Moon and David Carter will also be at the event demonstrating cookery master classes every hour between 10am – 3pm.
