5. Leeds Town Hall
Taking place as Leeds Town Hall clock strikes 11.00am and 4.00pm on Sunday, April 18, this hour-long online event tells the story of making this landmark building and the part it has played in Leeds through more than 160 years. It was opened by Queen Victoria in 1858 and remains at the heart of civic life in Leeds today. Hear how the townspeople decided on this project and now it has been adapted over the years for new purposes.
6. Caritas Leeds
Ever wanted to know how the criminal justice system works? Listen to speaker Danielle Kingsley who is a barrister working in Crown and Magistrates' Courts within the Diocese of Leeds explain it to you. This online event is happening today (Saturday, April 17), starting at 11.00am and is being hosted by Caritas Leeds with registration available on Eventbrite.
7. LGBT+ Dog Walking Club
A fully inclusive Leeds LGBT+ dog walking club meeting at Eccup Reservoir at the Alwoodley Lane entrance at 8.45am for a 9.00am start today (Saturday, April 17). The walk will last longer than an hour and everyone is welcome, even if you don't have a dog! It's free to join and you can register your interest and get a ticket on the Eventbrite website.
