New kit for youth football team
A youth football team has been kitted out with new training jackets after a plea to local businesses. Harron Homes came forward to sponsor the kit for Glasshoughton Under-9s.
Harron Homes came forward to sponsor the kit for Glasshoughton Under-9s after responding to a call from Lee Badley, father to young player Joe, eight.
“Football is a winter sport, the team trains and plays outside on grass pitches,” said Mr Badley. “It’s hard enough as a parent standing on the sidelines wrapped up in five layers at times, so it was important for us that the kids have some sort of matching waterproof wear. We’re already playing friendly games and preparing for the new season so it’s great to now have the jackets in place.”
