“The most exciting live band in London right now" Man/Woman/Chainsaw have officially announced their biggest UK and Irish headline tour to date.

The news follows a meteoric rise for the young Fiction Records signees - home to legends like The Cure and The Horrors - who have spent the last year turning heads at SXSW and dominating the BBC 6 Music airwaves with playlisted singles ‘Adam & Steve’ and ‘Only Girl.’

The story of Man/Woman/Chainsaw is one of relentless "old-fashioned" graft.

Before ever signing a record deal, the group - comprised of Billy Ward and Billy Doyle on guitars, Vera Leppänen on bass, Emmie-Mae Avery on keys, Clio Harwood on violin, and Lola Cherry on drums - had already clocked up over 100 live shows.

This ‘live-first’ philosophy was born in South London, where Ward and Leppänen first began playing music together in 2019 at just 14 years old.

Initially bonded over a shared love for Nirvana and Leonard Cohen, the duo spent the lockdown years honing their songwriting before recruiting a rotating cast of friends that eventually solidified into the current six-piece powerhouse.

With their highly anticipated debut album slated for later this year and a summer spent hitting major European festivals like Rock Werchter and Deer Shed, this autumn tour represents a significant "curtain call" moment for a group rapidly outgrowing intimate club stages.

This headline run, including a massive night at London's Electric Ballroom, marks the final countdown to their debut album release later this year.
